Peace activist groups in Canada are encouraging everyone to work together to avoid more conflict in the Ukraine. Here are three actions that you can take this weekend.

Send a letter

Send a letter to Prime Minister Trudeau and Minister of Foreign Affairs Joly calling on the Government of Canada to take immediate steps to de-escalate and demilitarize the conflict, and to engage diplomatically in long-term peace and security with Russia, Ukraine and throughout Eastern Europe.

Use social media

Take a photo of yourself holding a sign with #StandForPeace and use the hashtag.

Attend a local event

Events are planned for these communities on Saturday, January 29:

  • Victoria
  • Vancouver
  • Regina
  • Winnipeg
  • Waterloo
  • Toronto
  • Montreal
  • Cape Breton

Here is the list of events, times and locations from the Voice of Women for Peace.
