Metta Spencer founded Peace Magazine in 1983, and the University of Toronto sociologist become Canada’s well-known publisher of news and interviews about the peace movement. Today, at 89, Metta has added podcasts to her coverage of the issues, and is a YouTube “influencer” through her seminal video interview series titled “Project Save the World.”

In this week’s episode, the first of a new series of daily YouTube programs, Metta sat down with me (Steve Staples) to talk about PeaceQuest’s ambitions and contribution to the peace movement.

What resulted was a fascinating, sometimes contradictory, discussion of political and organizing strategies to build a stronger, more impactful peace movement in Canada.

Metta Spencer interviews PeaceQuest Chairperson Steve Staples. Runs 32 minutes.
