Summer is here I have enjoyed getting outside to meet many of our regular PeaceQuest readers.
My thanks to friends at Presentation Manor in Scarborough, Ontario who asked me to come and share the fascinating history of PeaceQuest and its peace education mission.
Also, this week I was in Charlottetown, PEI where I was an invited speaker at the inaugural peace rally by the new PEI Peace Coalition, along with friends from CUPE PEI, the Council of Canadians, and many more.

In this post titled “No new fossil fuel projects on a burning planet,” Seth criticizes Prime Minister Carney’s new partnership deals with Alberta and BC, which greenlight a new bitumen pipeline to Roberts Bank despite unmet conditions from the original agreement—no private proponent materialized and the promised Pathways CCS project now pledges to capture far less carbon than assured—with the federal government footing roughly 90% of the pipeline’s $44 billion cost and BC receiving billions partly earmarked for its own fossil fuel expansion.
