Startling revelations from the Ottawa Inquiry
More shocking evidence of police complicity with anti-vaccine (and anti-government) protesters was revealed this week at the Public Order Emergency Commission inquiry in Ottawa, raising alarms about the Prime Minister’s RCMP personal bodyguards.
The CBC’s Richard Raycraft says a profile document released by the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) references a report from the RCMP detailing a member of Justin Trudeau's security team who may have leaked the prime minister's personal schedule.
The document — again citing the RCMP — said that the individual was also a sniper and intelligence officer. The document did not indicate who received the leaked information.
The RCMP bodyguard resigned from the RCMP in 2021 in protest over the federal government's vaccine mandate for Mounties, and was known to be, “very vocal on social media in his belief that the vaccine mandates are in violation of the Canadian Constitution.”
It gets worse.
“The profile says the former RCMP officer is involved with the group ‘Mounties For Freedom,’ made up of current and former Mounties who oppose COVID-19 public health measure,” reports Raycraft.
Not surprisingly, the OPP says the RCMP officer who leaked the PM's schedule was the "self-proclaimed 'lead' in the command post for Freedom Convoy 2022."
The OPP document raises many serious questions:
Did the disgruntled bodyguard and trained sniper get help from others inside the RCMP?
What was the intended use of the Prime Minister’s personal itinerary?
Was there a larger conspiracy to harm the Prime Minister from within the RCMP?

Along with the OPP profile, it was also revealed this week that Ottawa Police officers were sharing tactical and enforcement information with convoy organizers.
The lawyer for several convoy organizers told the inquiry, "There was a steady stream of information and leaks coming from all of the different police forces and security agencies," reported the CBC.
"There were numerous times where information would come into the operation centre from various police sources that a raid was imminent. And it happened many times," he said.
The interim chief of the Ottawa Police Service says the force has opened an internal investigation, although many people are sceptical the results will ever be made public.
