We should start the talks with apologies for WW II, and all the demonization and interference since them. NATO should particularly apologize for all the broken treaties, and acknowledge the years of warnings it ignored before the Ukraine war.
I agree with Diplomacy is the best route to take. Hopefully the previous wars will have learned from their own mistakes. Our whole world is in turmoil right now and needing healing.
