It is perhaps wiley but overall still stupid , as money does only cover the ( largely fictional) tip of the iceberg of the economy. The essential of the economy ,the 2/3 below the radar remains people and the natural base, which is completely ignored. Foreign corporate interference should be exposed not aided.
Foreign interference is any covert, deceptive or coercive activity by a foreign government, or by those acting on their behalf, that is directed at Canada, Canadians or Canadian interests, and is contrary to Canada’s national security. It can undermine Canadian sovereignty, divide communities, reduce trust in the country’s institutions and put Canadian rights and freedoms at risk.
Opposing USA interference aimed at dismantling our country should be a top priority for the Canadian Government. All USA involvement with the Alberta separatist movement should be exposed and condemned. This is an appropriate area for strong Canadian national leadership. Aside from this, opposition to Alberta separation should be led by other sources, particularly Albertan sources, with moral support coming from the Prime Minister, the federal cabinet and MP's from all parties.
Justice not only have to be fair, it needs to be ‘seen’ as fair. Both the premiere and pm must refrain enough to be grant credibility to how the effort is resolved. Both seem to be signalling that they are confident that the referendum will fail.
