NATO in my opinion is an obsolete organization based on WWll power structure with an inordinate about of control by the USA. Like the UN,also overpowered by USA agendas,, any good they have or could do is made powerless. We need them gone and a world forum made of world advisors and leaders with equitable authority. Their first job would be to identify the positive contributions of these two great organizations to emulate and how to prevent the intrusion of old order destructive ideologies.
NATO has long been undermined by it's own structure ( dominated by the US and the arms industry) and missions that did not follow NATO's own rules including the Bosnia mission. I would be glad to see it go ,replaced by defense force with a clear national purpose stated in a white paper in the context of neutrality, like Switzerland and Costa Rica.
Greenland isn't the only stress to recover from. NATO has also hit a hard limit on expansion, devastating Ukraine . The basic purpose of NATO has been to continue the centuries-old feud of Europe against Russia, and sell billions of dollars worth of overpriced weapons. Now it's a race between a war and the climate to change all our plans.
