Teachers: War and Children takes learners into the heart of children’s experiences
An open-access resource on war and peace
War and Children is an open-access resource taking learners into the heart of children's experiences of war ...and peace.
This innovative tool offers an inquiry approach to learning about war and peace around the world. Teachers now have free, easy-to-use access to an impressive collection of photographs, videos, and fact sheets about conflicts from 1914 to present.

War and Children asks:
How have children been used in war propaganda?
Have children's roles in war changes over the past 100 years?
How does war affect children and youth?
What makes some young people want to go to war?
What can young people do to promote peace?
The engaging activities feature compelling approaches for students to demonstrate learning including poetry, journaling, procedural and editorial writing, drama, visual arts and the creation of multimedia presentations.
