Remembrance Day is just around the corner. November 11 is intended to commemorate the end of the First World War in 1918, but it remains a day intertwined with modern politics and symbolism.
The terrible invasion of Ukraine by the Russian Federation is at the top of the UN agenda, and the possibility of a horrific nuclear explosion is closer than it has been in decades. But many other wars continue to rage around the world, with little mention in the international media.
Still, people continue their efforts to reduce conflict and educate for peace every day.
What are you remembering on November 11 this year? Please take a moment to leave a comment, and we will share it with our readers next week.
