Remembrance Day is just around the corner. November 11 is intended to commemorate the end of the First World War in 1918, but it remains a day intertwined with modern politics and symbolism.
The terrible conflict in Israel and Gaza, and the invasion of Ukraine by the Russian Federation dominate the headlines. But many other wars continue to rage around the world, with little mention in the international media.
Still, people continue their efforts to reduce conflict and educate for peace every day.
