The Canadian Voice of Women for Peace and Science for Peace are looking to hire a PAID peace campaign intern!

This peace campaign internship is a part-time (10 hrs/week for $20/hr), 5-month internship contract through the Canadian Voice of Women for Peace (VOW). Deadline to apply is August 1, 2022. Applicants should apply with their CV/Resume and cover letter using this online application form.

Job Description

The peace campaign intern will help work on our “Disarmament” advocacy program to help raise support national public and political for the UN Secretary General’s Agenda for Disarmament. The campaign intern will be guided by a senior VOW campaigner over the course of the internship. You will learn more about feminist peace and disarmament and gain useful skills in campaigning, event planning, media relations, political strategy and public communications. Your work will help make the world a better place!

How to Apply

Please submit your CV/Resume and a cover letter (maximum 2 pages) to the online application form and address these points:

1). What is your interest and commitment to peace, disarmament, demilitarization and/or feminism?

2). What are the skills and experiences that will help you as a peace campaigner?

3). If you were a peace campaigner to encourage the federal government to implement the United Nations’ Agenda for Disarmament, what would you do?

4). Why are you interested in interning with VOW and what strengths do bring to the organization?

5). What do you hope to gain from the internship?
