This week marks one year since Russia’s internationally-condemned invasion of Ukraine, and the non-profit Angus Reid Institute polled Canadians about the war.

Those that take a hard line against Russia are brainwashed by the Media. They have no conception of what Russia is attempting to do. If they would research the background of the whole terrible affair they would note the sensible reasoning of Putin in this matter. Russia, having been doublecrossed by the US and NATO in 1990 with respect to the solemn American promise not to move NATO East toward Russia’s border, is now completely mistrusting of the West. Ukraine was pandering to the US and constructively considering hosting American missile bases right on Russia’s border. What did you expect Putin to do, just allow Russia’s national security to be undermined?
