From our friends at Project Ploughshares…

I wanted to alert you to an upcoming opportunity for students to participate in a free half-day workshop Project Ploughshares is running on Thursday, September 15th. The event will focus on Canada and the Treaty on the Prohibition of Nuclear Weapons (TPNW), which held its first Meeting of States Parties this June. This is the second in a workshop series we will be running throughout the year thanks to support from the Shantz Mennonite Church. Interested participants are invited to join even if they did not join the first workshop.

The event will be segmented into multiple modules and will be facilitated by our Executive Director Cesar Jaramillo and Ploughshares staff. We will also have other guest expert speakers discussing certain aspects of Canada and its position towards nuclear disarmament.
